My Chinese New Year 2020

Chinese New Year is the Chinese festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. The festival is usually referred to as the Spring Festival in mainland China, and is one of several Lunar New Years in Asia. Observances traditionally take place from the evening preceding the first day of the year to the Lantern Festival, held on the 15th day of the year. The first day of Chinese New Year begins on the new moon that appears between 21 January and 20 February.

This year, the first day of the Chinese New Year will be on Saturday, 25 January, initiating the Year of the Rat. This is my CNY story I went to The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia with my fiancé.

Ane Thanh Lion Dance is a cultural dance group that performs for weddings or any other special events. The lion dance is commonly misconceived as a dragon dance. The differences is that lions are composed of 2 people under a costume, while the dragon dance is composed of 9-14 people holding sticks connected to a dragon. Lion dance is performed during these events to bring good luck and fortune. It is a great way to experience the culture of Asian heritage and expose others to the this unique heart pounding dance to live music and acrobatic feats. Near the end of the routine the lions will display scrolls to the business or newly wedded couple to wish them "Double happiness", "An Everlasting Union of the Hearts" and "A Hundred Years of Harmony" in Chinese scrolls.

Look! how big a wooden chair is behind me. I felt like a rat because of the decoration here twice a big from my size. This is a great shopping mall decoration! Chinese New Year is very beautiful and interesting, I'm excited and decided to come here next year.

Happy Chinese New Year! May success and happiness follow you
throughout the year.
愿新的一年里成功和快乐与您相伴
